Maple Creek is a part of the Southwest Health District which also includes Shaunavon, Leader and Eastend. The district works together to provide the best possible care for everyone in the district.
Maple Creek Hospital provides acute care, emergency care, treatment and diagnostic services, laboratory and x-ray services, medical care, pediatrics, obstetrics, palliative care, some respite care and minor surgery. Traditionally, services by medical specialists and special care units such as intensive care are provided by hospitals in Medicine Hat (100 km from Maple Creek), Swift Current (115 km from Maple Creek) or Saskatoon (400 km from Maple Creek). Currently, the community of Maple Creek is served by four physicians.
Cypress Lodge is located across the street from the hospital in Maple Creek. At this facility, full term care is provided to over 50 residents.
